Wardah stands as one of the biggest beauty brands in Indonesia, dedicated to fulfilling every woman’s desire to feel serene and confident in her appearance. This illustration project focuses on the packaging design for the new Wardah Colorfit Cream Blush, a blush series enriched with Vitamin E, boasting a creamy to powdery texture.
Drawing inspiration from Islamic landmarks and Moroccan gardens in the Middle East, the illustrations seek to capture the essence of these influences. The visual approach aims for simplicity while retaining the essence of form. Basic patterns and motifs are transformed into imaginative and decorative elements.
Coincidentally, it all began with an art residency in southern Spain back in 2019, where I explored the beauty and intricacy of Moorish Architecture and decorative motifs. The love has grown since, and sure enough, I was over the moon to revisit the experience. With over 80 editable visual assets and 60 samples, it took me nearly 5 months of research, drawing, and sampling since June 2023.

Architectural elements and scenic forms are created through geometric modifications such as lines, dots, squares, and circles, symbolizing elegance, beauty, and a hint of playfulness.
